Bill 48sl13, "Amendment to the Student Activity Fee Split," Submitted by Vice President for Graduate Affairs Ely Goldberg, Jon Darby Student Government Association President.
Whereas,
the Student Government Association has the authority to collect and disburse funds; and,
Whereas,
the method by which funds are disbursed is through a Student Activity Fee Split; and,
Whereas,
the current Student Activity Fee Split is reflected in Appendix A; and,
Whereas,
the proposed Student Activity Fee Split [Proposed Split] is reflected in Appendix B; and,
Whereas,
the Proposed Split reflects the $92 per-student per-semester Student Activity Fee that begins with the 2015-2016 Academic Year; and,
Whereas,
the Proposed Split reflects an absolute increase in funding for every division, a percentage and absolute increase in funding for the Graduate Student Government Association; and,
Whereas,
the Proposed Split allocates funding for Student Organization Collaboration technologies, increases funding for the Student Legislature, and increases funding for University-wide organizations.
Therefore, be it enacted by the 48th Student Legislature of Emory University that upon approval of this bill by ⅔ of the Legislature in two consecutive sessions that the Student Activity Fee Split be amended to reflect Appendix B.
